Hotel Éden

Overview
Hotel Éden sought to evolve from a standalone boutique hotel into a unified hospitality brand capable of supporting a growing portfolio of restaurants, wellness spaces, and guest experiences. As the Senior Brand Designer, I developed a scalable brand identity that established a clear visual relationship between the parent brand and its sub-brands while allowing each destination to retain its own distinct character.

Project Background
Hotel Éden is a boutique hospitality brand based in Karwar, envisioned as more than just a hotel. Alongside accommodation, the business includes a growing collection of restaurants, wellness experiences, and lifestyle destinations such as Tulip, Oyster Bay, Food & Forest, Terminal 5, and The Golden Leaf Spa, each catering to a unique audience while operating under the same hospitality umbrella. As the brand expanded, the need for a cohesive identity became increasingly important. Rather than treating every venue as an independent brand, the objective was to establish a structured brand architecture that connected each experience to Hotel Éden, creating a recognisable family of brands while allowing every sub-brand to express its own personality.
The Challenge
Creating a unified hospitality ecosystem meant respecting the individuality of existing brands while establishing a clear relationship between them.

- Aligning several established brands under a single parent identity.
- Creating a visual system that balanced consistency with individuality.
- Developing a scalable framework that could support future expansion.
Solution
The Solution
1/4
Drawing inspiration from hospitality leaders such as Marriott, Four Seasons, and Orient Hotels, I studied how successful hotel groups build brand architecture without compromising the identity of individual properties. These insights were then adapted to suit the expectations, culture, and aesthetics of the Indian hospitality market. The result was a comprehensive identity system that established Hotel Éden as the parent brand while providing clear principles for typography, colour, visual language, and brand application across every touchpoint. This created a cohesive experience for guests while giving the business a flexible foundation for future growth.

Key Takeaway
Key Takeaway
A strong hospitality brand is built through consistency, not uniformity. This project reinforced the importance of creating flexible design systems that unite multiple experiences under a shared vision while allowing each destination to retain its own identity.
